How this site handles your data, per Art. 13 GDPR
Vivien Victoria Evers Diagonalstr. 50 20537 Hamburg, Germany Email: hi@vivienevers.de
This site doesn't run analytics or advertising trackers. The only things that touch your data are: fonts loaded from Google, a login cookie for the password-protected sections, and the standard server logs every website generates.
This site is hosted on Vercel Inc. (USA), which, like virtually every host, automatically records short-lived technical logs for each request (IP address, browser/device type, referring page, date and time), used only to keep the site running and secure. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functioning, secure website). See Vercel's own privacy policy for details on their infrastructure.
This site loads the typefaces JetBrains Mono from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Loading a font this way sends your IP address to Google when the page loads. Google's data practices are outside my control. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in fast, reliable typography).
The password-protected Case Studies and Downloads areas set one cookie (vivien_auth) after a correct password entry, so you don't have to re-enter it on every visit. It's HttpOnly (invisible to page scripts), stores no personal information (just a signed, expiring token) and lasts 30 days or until you clear it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (necessary to provide the protected content you asked to access).
Emailing me (or the LinkedIn link) sends your message through that provider directly. Nothing is stored on this site's server beyond what your own inbox and mine already handle. See the respective provider's own privacy policy for how they handle that message in transit.
No Google Analytics, no Meta/Facebook Pixel, no advertising networks, no third-party tracking cookies. This site doesn't build a profile of you.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete data concerning you, restrict or object to its processing, and data portability. Since this site keeps essentially no personal data of its own beyond the two points above, most of these will have nothing to act on, but if you have a question, email me. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority at any time.
